Please come by the library and see the snow falling. Once again, our wonderful students have helped bring January snowflakes to the Library!
JANUARY Author Corner: David Weisner
Book of the Month - The Spiderwick Chronicles by Tony Diterlizzi
Please Note:
Remember to return all books on time. And remember 4th adn 6th grade - Are you working on your Treasure Reading?
Theme: (Non-Fiction) Section 100-199 Philospophy. These are on display.
Also this month is when the Newberry and Caldecott books for 2008 are selected. Be sure to watch for this announcement.
Also check out the biographies of great Black Americans.
The library will begin class rotation and book checkout, Monday, August 27, 2007.
Every class attends the library once a week. The students will be given instruction on how to use the Dewy Decimal System, how to use the computer to access library information and mostly a love of books and reading.
The library is open 10 minutes before school and 10 minutes after school, for students to have additional time to check out books. Feel free to come into the library, with your student, at any time to see our book selection or to help them find a good book.
Book Due Dates:
We do not charge a fine for late books, but students will not be allowed to check out a new book until the overdue book has been returned. Lost or damaged books will need to be paid for before a student is allowed to check out a new book.
I welcome any suggestions you have for new book titles or A.R. tests that you think would enhance our library. I look forward to working with your children this year and exploring the world of books and reading!
